Welcome
Welcome to Caer Abred: Forum of the Druidic Order of Naturalists

Druidic Naturalism holds that there is only Nature and that the scientific method is the best suited to determine the nature of Nature. This is balanced with an aesthetic response to the world that is in line with that shared by the Druid community as a whole.

Druidic Naturalists will probably tend to be Pantheist, Agnostic or Atheist, yet see in Druidry an appropriate philosophy that allows one to honour ones Land and Ancestors in a way that establishes a healthy, and ethical, relationship with them and with ones fellow creatures.

Druidic Naturalism, as it has developed so far, embraces ritual, art and celebration as effective and satisfying ways to express this secular spirituality.

Oh, congratulation on the promotion and long live this new sub-forum!

We have to discuss the healing power of hugs. I'm sure they have some.

They do indeed. I often think that they should be available on the NHS.

I'm a big believer in the healing power of hugs :) I could (but please don't ask me to!!) probably back that up with quotes regarding Reparative Relationships, Bowlby's Secure Base and Attachment Theory.... but I don't wanna!
I just know when my life fell apart a month ago, just creating a "Huggle Thread" on another message forum really helped me through parts of it, something lovely about people I'd never actually met thinking about me and sending hug variants through cyberspace.
Hugs are great!

Yes, but on medical prescription only. Otherwise things could get messy.

I think it's well documented somewhere.

I shall have to go and look out the info sometime soonish.

But now I'm eyeing Last Posting Dates to the USA, Europe and the UK for sending Stuff to people who've ordered it.
