Welcome
Welcome to Caer Abred: Forum of the Druidic Order of Naturalists

Druidic Naturalism holds that there is only Nature and that the scientific method is the best suited to determine the nature of Nature. This is balanced with an aesthetic response to the world that is in line with that shared by the Druid community as a whole.

Druidic Naturalists will probably tend to be Pantheist, Agnostic or Atheist, yet see in Druidry an appropriate philosophy that allows one to honour ones Land and Ancestors in a way that establishes a healthy, and ethical, relationship with them and with ones fellow creatures.

Druidic Naturalism, as it has developed so far, embraces ritual, art and celebration as effective and satisfying ways to express this secular spirituality.

It's not just the Society Of Homeopaths. The British Homeopathic Association says 'in water and alcohol' Everywhere I looked said the same kind of thing.

Obviously. But that's one example of why homeopathy is difficult to take seriously ....... one would at least expect the supposed governing bodies to be slightly accurate! To be honest, I think the governing bodies are more of a hindrance than a help.

Have you hear the one about the homeopathic hospital? It's a very large car park with a tiny lego brick in the middle of it.

Sad but true - they are going that way in real life, too.

Forgive my sharp left turn here.
Don't know Homeopathic from anything else. Darned label thing keeps me confuzzled.

I do know that when I consume honey from my own hives, a snack with bees who harvest pollen from around my home (eat it right there, bees knees and all), none of my plant allergies express themselves for some time after.

Some have told me that it was a homeopathic practice. I just said it tastes wonderful, the bees like me, seemed the right thing to do at the time and that it worked for me.
Since I have had to leave my colonies, the allergies resume whether I eat other raw honeys or not.

Does Homeopathy need to be a commercial endeavor?
What struck me about the concept (in my obvious ignorance) was that the root word is "Home".

My experience seemed to work as my winged friends shared with me the refined essence of the plants around my home that caused me irritation. That refined nectar, gave me an ability to withstand the non-refined assaults from the airborne pollens.

I've had limited success with tinctures myself, but found my Apiary cousins very capable of measuring a perfect proportion for me. Overdosing was hard because it was sooooo rich. The only way it had any water or alcohol involved was in my meadery, but the Mead does not have the anti allergen effect of the unprocessed (by anyone other than bees) honey.

Anyway, I very much enjoy listening and learning. Forgive my change in direction, please don't let me derail the thread.
Family has nothing to do with who you grew up with.

Derailing is almost an institution around here. If it goes too far the threads are just split :D
